St Laurence Church of England Junior Academy
This year’s St Laurence Church of England Junior School end of term service took place on the school playing field and was led by Year 6 pupils. Riley Makins received the Rector’s Award this year. Riley has been a really proactive school worship leader and has encouraged other children to write prayer.
St Laurence Memorial Garden
I would like to thank everyone who has helped tidy up the memorial garden following the recent vandalism. I know that the desecration of this sacred place caused considerable distress to the many families who have loved ones interred there. Please be assured that they are very much in our thoughts and prayers.
Some of the personal items found scattered around the memorial garden have been removed to the Parish Office for safekeeping. If you think that any of these items might belong to you please contact the Parish Office to arrange to identify and collect them (01843 592478).
I have a small amount of money available to assist families in replacing damaged items. Please email me or alternatively phone the Parish Office vicar@stlaurenceparish-ramsgate.org.uk
I am currently liaising with Kent Police, Canterbury Diocese and the local authority to discuss how we can improve the security of St Laurence Church and Churchyard.
