Listening & Discerning on the Way Together
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all our communities, our nation and much of the world, particularly the most vulnerable members of society. Whilst it is not over yet, we are now in a period that offers us the opportunity to pause, reflect and seek God’s guidance for the next stage of our journey together.
Over the next few of weeks we are inviting as many of you as possible – individuals, young people, families and church communities to find a place where you can be quiet, still and then prayerfully ponder the following three questions:
- What are we noticing …
of God’s movement at this difficult time?
- What are we learning …
as we reflect on how God seems to be moving?
- What might we let go or allow to die…
so that we may enter into a new future with God?
This simple discernment process is aimed at helping us as the family of God to be more alert and sensitive to the movement of God during this period of widespread upheaval and uncertainty.

Timetable
This initial exercise will run from now until 20th September. Feedback will be collated alongside returns from other churches by 22nd September. The results will form the basis of a second exercise that will take place between during October and November.
Please let the Parish Office or one of your local church leaders your feedback by Friday 18th September.
People
Eva Bull a longstanding member of the St Laurence church celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday and will have received a birthday card from Her Majesty the Queen. The parish also sent her a card and bouquet of flowers.
