St Laurence Church
Church Boiler - Work began on the installation of the new church boiler just before the Coronavirus lockdown and will be completed as soon as restrictions have been lifted.
Parish Hall – An electrician has now overhauled and tested the electrical system in the St Laurence Parish Hall.
Community help
The parish is now using the St Laurence Parish Hall on Monday and Wednesday afternoon form 1400-1600 as a collection hub for the Community Kitchen who are distributing free food parcels to families on the Newington Estate. Virtual Church
It was really encouraging to see so many people joining us for Daily Prayer at 8am and 7pm and a Palm Sunday Holy Communion. Morning and Evening Prayer will continue each day via the St Laurence-in-Thanet Facebook Group page. On Good Friday there will be an additional service at 2.30pm and on Easter Day, a Holy Communion service at 10am.
