THE COLLECT FOR TODAY

O God, the strength of all those who put their trust in you, mercifully accept our prayers and because, through the weakness of our mortal nature, we can do no good thing without you, grant us the help of your grace, that in the keeping of your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ, your son, our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit - one God, now and forever. Amen.

MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA UPDATE: Barbara Redman (treasurer @ St Catherine’s) reports that the total profit after expenses is £1152.52. This is a really pleasing profit and 30% increase on last year. We had four fabulously entertaining evenings and the support from the parish was immense. Thank you so much for this. We had really good feed-back from all our performers (The Greyhound Buskers, Thanet Community Gospel Choir, Kelly Richardson, Matt Weston, Kellet Gut Shantymen) - all of whom would be happy to return again. The Kellet Gut Shantymen took away £156 in donations for the Walmer Lifeboat. Again – thanks for this generosity, it means we have more profit for the church.

COFFEE MORNINGS: St Catherine will be holding Coffee Mornings on the last Saturday of this and the next 3 months: 24 June, 30 July, 27 Aug, 30 Sept, 10.30-12.00. We will also have a “Bring and Buy” stall.

THANET SCHOOL OF DANCE: Due to a change in circumstances, Rachel Wadey is no longer able to run this class. Apologies to all those affected.

PARISH UPDATES: If any of our churchwardens or group leaders have updates or news to share, please email diamond-jules@hotmail.co.uk for inclusion here in the Pew News.
