Should you have a gluten allergy and wish to receive communion please let one of the sides people know at least 10 minutes before the service starts so that a gluten free wafer may be provided.

THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
Almighty God, you show to those who are in error the light of your truth, that they may return to the way of righteousness: grant to all those who are admitted into the fellowship of Christ’s religion, that they may reject those things that are contrary to their profession, and follow all such things as are agreeable to the same; through our Lord Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

NOTICES AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS
THANET FOOD LINK LENT CHALLENGE: 2nd March to 14th April
Are you planning to give up something for Lent? How about taking up our Lent Challenge and giving one item of food to Thanet Food Link per day for the 40 days of Lent? All non-perishable foods are welcome, especially tinned meals, pasta, pasta sauces, packet meals, cereals, tinned desserts and veg, biscuits, tea and coffee and UHT milk. By taking part in our Lent challenge you can help us help those in need.
ST LAURENCE MEMBERS are invited to take a collection box for Lent to support the Church Mission Society. It helps to spread the Christian message to more than forty countries including some in Eastern Europe. Please take a box today and return it to church shortly after Easter.
OUR PARISH SHARE this year is £81,085. This is money that we, as a parish, must pay to the Diocese. Please consider donating to your churches in order to help us pay this amount and continue keeping our churches and halls open. Thank you.
ST MARK’S GARDENING TEAM: A gardening group is growing at St Mark! We plan to spend Wednesday mornings gardening and caring for St Mark’s Church and grounds. If you would be interested, please speak to Phil or Frances Barnes!
A SAFEGUARDING MODULE will be given by Kevin Spain at St Mark at the end of March (exact date tbc). If you are in need of refreshing your safeguarding training, please email the Parish Office for more information. (office@stlaurenceparish-ramsgate.org.uk)
THURSDAY FELLOWSHIP at St Mark will be restarting soon! All are welcome. Please speak to Prim Williamson at St Mark for more information.
KNIT, CRAFT & NATTER will start at St Mark’s on Wednesday 6th April from 10-12. All are welcome! A charge of 50p will be made to cover costs. Speak to Frances Barnes for more info!
PRAYER SPACE AT ST LAURENCE has been refreshed with a Lenten theme. This year, don’t give up, give. We are asking everyone to consider how they might make a commitment to serve the church and the parish in some way, be that in giving time, money, or talent. The parish is always in need of volunteers, and now is the time to consider how your time and talents can help!
ST LAURENCE SPRING FAIR will be taking place on Saturday 26th March 2022, 10.30-13.00 in the Parish Hall. Please bring your tombola items, gifts, raffle prizes and bottles of wine to church and place in the boxes under the table in the south aisle or take to the Parish Office.
SAVE THE DATES: St Catherine’s May Music Extravaganza! Every Friday evening in May, from 7pm – 9pm, St Catherine’s will be hosting musicians for an evening of music and fun. Watch this space for more details and artist information as they are announced! The first Music Extravaganza evening will be on Friday 6th May.
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: Can you spare a morning a week to help in the St Laurence Parish Office? Volunteers are needed to assist Jess with a range of administrative duties.
