St LAWRENCE CLOCK FUND UPDATE: By the end of 2023 we had raised £7,001.65. We really need the support of YOU, your family, friends and the local community to make a big push in 2024 to get nearer our target of £20,000, before we can even think about applying for grants. If you are able, please consider setting up a standing order for any amount you are able to give on a regular basis, or alternatively you can make a one-off donation direct into the clock bank account, the details are: account name Ramsgate Heritage Regeneration Trust, sort code 30-98-90, account number 18498668. – Freda Parker

GOOD-TO-KNOW GROUPS: We have been contacted by Independent Age asking us to share the following:

Good to Know telephone groups invite a different guest speaker each week to discuss issues that matter to older people. Topics include scams, the cost-of-living crisis, social care, benefits and finding new social connections - things that are simply 'Good To Know' about.  Think of these groups like a cup of tea and a chat at a community centre, but over the phone in the comfort of your living room. The groups are particularly great for older people unable to get out and about or to online activities.

You can find out more by visiting: www.independentage.org/get-support/telephone-groups/good-to-know-groups or by calling 0800 319 6789

CHARITY DONATIONS: Please continue to give your unwanted clothes to Cheryl Belsey, who will take it to the depot at Westwood and receive money that goes into our church funds.  Contact her on: 07398 038366.

THANET FOOD LINK: January 2024’s most wanted items:  cereal, tinned meals, biscuits, desserts, meat or fish paste, jam.  Thank you for continued support and kindness.  It really is appreciated and still so needed.

Any queries or for more information, please speak with Ruth Farmer, or email on ruth.farmer@talktalk.net or telephone on 01843 863577
