COLLECT and POST COMMUNION PRAYER

Collect: Lord, you have taught us that all our doings, if without love, are nothing worth: send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love, the true bond of peace and all virtues, without which whoever lives is counted dead before you. Grant this for your only Son, Jesus Christ’s sake - who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit; one God, now and for ever. Amen

Post Communion: Loving Father, we thank you for feeding us at the supper of your Son: sustain us with your Spirit, that we may serve you here on earth until our joy is complete in heaven, and we share in the eternal banquet with Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

ALTOGETHER SERVICE: at St Augustine’s Cross – 10am Sunday 28 June – there will be Junior Church provision so children very welcome.

MONTHLY BIBLE STUDY, DISCUSSION & REFRESHMENTS AT THE RECTORY: Next date is Weds,17 June then Weds 15 July at 6.30pm. It is aimed at those new to faith and also for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of the Bible (currently the book of Acts) and feel part of a supportive group. CLOCK APPEAL: Save the dates: Saturday 11th July, at 6:30pm: as part of the Summer Event at St Laurence, we will have a concert by the Coastal Choir and Chorale Le Renouveau. Tickets £10.00 from Freda. Wednesday 29th July, 7:30pm: a traditional Pub Quiz in the Australian Arms. £3.00 per person, max of 6 per table. Booking essential, contact Freda, food will be available to purchase on the night from the bar. Tea and coffee also on sale along with beer and wine. Saturday 22nd August, 3:00pm: an illustrated talk on Tall Ships and the adventure of sailing on them. The weekend 24th & 25th October an Art and Craft Fair, anyone wishing to have a stall please contact Mick.

ST CATHERINE’S “WALK for your SOUL”: Parish wide and beyond – for you and your friends and family. See flyers in your church.

Walk 4: Friday 26 June at 2pm-4pm+: Meet at St Cath’s church, Manston, to share transport to Minster. Stroll & Natter around Minster finishing at The Bell pub.

Walk 5: Sunday 19 July at 12noon-2.30pm: A Tale of Two Churches Starting and ending at St Laurence-in-Thanet Church Ramsgate. We walk to St Catherine’s for a break & buffet lunch…history and architecture all along the way.

Walk 6: Saturday 29 August 11am-4pm: It’s Bank Holiday! Walking As Pilgrimage Starting at St Augustine’s Cross we pilgrimage to Minster Abbey and return (return a choice of whether by foot or train) for refreshments at St Mary’s, Cliffsend.

ROCK SOLID 2 Junior Church: St Laurence runs a Sunday School for children aged 4yrs -11yrs - called Rock Solid 2. It runs monthly on the 2^nd Sunday, 14 June. 12 July and so on. It is fun-packed. Led by Kelly, Marion, Marcia and Andrea- these leaders are experienced with children with autism and ADHD. All children and parents are welcome. Arrive 9.50am at the actual church for 10am start, ends 11.30am. And children are welcome in church every week.

ST LAURENCE SUMMER EVENT: Saturday 11 July, 4.30pm outdoor strawberry tea, craft stalls, indoor concert with invited choirs –– a fundraising event for Clock Appeal & Church. If you wish to run a stall contact Revd Catherine and to help with the Strawberry Tea contact Churchwarden Ann

PARISHWIDE AWAY DAY to Canterbury Cathedral: Wednesday 22 July,11.00am attend Bell Ceremony 11.15am viewing the new art exhibition 12.30 attending Eucharist 1-2pm lunch 2-3 quiet hour in the Crypt with a member of clergy giving reflection. Sign up sheets coming!

REMEMBRANCE & CHANGE SERVICE: St Laurence Church 2pm Saturday 1 August. Road Traffic Collisions, The Parish, Ramsgate Council and RoadToChange all partnering to bring together this important service to our community including our local services personnel.
