THE COLLECT FOR TODAY

God, our Redeemer, you have delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of your Son; grant, that as by his death he has recalled us to life, so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy. UPDATE ON WORK AT ST MARK’S: The floor that was damaged has been completely removed in readiness for the replacement. While this has been going on, it has been discovered that 3 floor joists are rotten and need replacing, so in some way it was fortunate that the floor has needed to come up. The stage doors are very near to being repaired so that they open and close smoothly in a bi-fold fashion. Things are looking hopeful that the venue will be complete and ready for use during Broadstairs Folk Week (11th - 18th August).

FOOD BANK: Although the parish office is not always open and available to take food donations, you can take them to your church and we will liaise about taking the food over to the food bank. Or you can take your donations directly there – Unit 3c, Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg Street, Margate CT9 3JJ (behind B&Q/ Home Bargains). If the warehouse is closed there is a chest where items can be left safely in the business park central office lobby (first door on left as you enter the ‘courtyard’).
