THANET FOOD BANK:
January’s most wanted items are: tinned fruit/vegetables, pasta sauce, cereal, cereal bars. Please take to any of the following: Parish Office, your church, the Thanet Food Bank Hub at unit 3c, Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg Street, Margate, CT9 3JJ (behind B&Q). If they are closed, there is a chest inside the first door on the left of the business complex.
ACORN CLUB: This will not run on this coming Thursday, 19th January. It will resume on 26th January. This is a social club aimed at the mature members of our congregations. It involves an activity, a raffle, refreshments and chat and then bingo. £2 per session plus raffle - 50p per strip plus bingo - 60p for 2 games (6 games in total) with £2 prize per game.
KNIT AND NATTER: Knit, Craft and Natter is a group meeting every Wednesday in the lounge at St Marks from 10.00 am to 12.00pm and it costs 50p a session to cover our costs. Anyone who does a craft is welcome along with those who just want to watch and maybe try a craft or just 'natter' with us. We have stitchers, knitters, embroiderers and all sorts. It's a really friendly group of church and non-church goers. All are welcome!
HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY: St Mark’s is hosting a service of remembrance for this day at 10:30 on Friday 27th January.
PARISH OFFICE: We no longer have anyone manning the office. Alison Willoughby-Brown is manfully doing what she can, but we do need some help! Most importantly we require someone to help out with inquiries regarding WEDDINGS. If you think you could help please contact Alison on treasurer@stlaurenceparish-ramsgate.org
ST MARK’S GARDENING GROUP: This runs on a Wednesday, tidying the church grounds. Information will follow about when this group will restart.
