Should you have a gluten allergy and wish to receive communion please let one of the sides people know at least 10 minutes before the service starts so that a gluten free wafer may be provided.

Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ have overcome death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: grant that, as by your grace going before us you put into our minds good desires, so by your continual help we may bring them to good effect; through Jesus Christ our risen Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. BRING AND SHARE LUNCH: There will be a bring and share lunch directly after the Songs of Praise service in the Parish Hall on Sunday 15th May. All are welcome to attend.
THE NEXT PASTORAL/BEREAVEMENT TEAM MEETING will be held on Monday 16th May at 2pm in St Laurence Church.
CHRISTIAN AID WEEK: Today is the start of the annual Christian Aid Week. This year it is an appeal for British churches to help people in a country where the effect of climate change is keenly felt and drought is leading to widespread hunger. The country is Zimbabwe in South East Africa. Please use the red envelopes to make a donation towards lifting families there out of hunger.
MAY’S MOST WANTED FOOD BANK ITEMS: pasta, tinned soup, baked beans, tinned or packet potatoes, tinned fish. Thank you for your generosity and continued support; it really is appreciated and still so needed.

ROGATION SUNDAY SERVICE: There will be a Rogation Sunday Service that involves a walk starting at St. Catherine’s on Sunday 22nd May at 6.00pm.
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: Can you spare a morning a week to help in the St Laurence Parish Office? Volunteers are needed to assist in the office with a range of administrative duties.
