SAFEGUARDING: Saturday, 23^rd November, 10:30-13:00.  Doors open from 10:00 for registration.  This training will culminate in a certificate (valid only within the St Laurence parish).  There will be further dates if you are unable to attend on this occasion. It is important that all 5 churches attend, so please have your representatives ready sooner rather than later. – Contact Kevin Spain as soon as possible to let him know who will be attending – see back page for contact details.

 

ST LAWRENCE CLOCK APPEAL: TICKETS ON SALE NOW for the ORGAN RECITAL: Saturday 23rd November, 3pm: Following the very successful recital by Tim in April, we are pleased to welcome him back in St Laurence Church. Tickets are on sale now £5.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased from Freda every Sunday morning after the service or on 07732864076. Tickets will also be available on the door. There will be refreshments after the recital.

TICKETS ON SALE NOW for the CHRISTMAS CONCERT: Friday 20th December. Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start: A Christmas Concert by Thanet Light Orchestra in St Laurence Church.  Tickets £10.00 per person, include refreshments. WEEK OF ACCOMPANIED PRAYER:  24^th – 30^th November.  This will be something that you can access at home via “Zoom” on your computer.  Opening service: Sun 24^th at 4:30, Mon – Fri 30 minutes of prayer and talk time with a prayer partner, Sat 30^th Closing service at 9:30.

EXHIBITION: Eucharistic Miracles of the World. 7^th November – 25^th November, 11:45 – 15:30 Mon – Sat at St Augustine’s, Ramsgate.

 

CAROL SINGING: Saturday 30^th November, 1pm - 2:30pm Whole parish - all 5 churches - singing (possibly outside Tesco, Manston, but final details to be announced soon).  Please wear something RED. Also distributing Christmas leaflets.

 

SHARED LUNCH & HEALING COURSE: Sunday 1^st December, 12pm for Bring and Share lunch and then 1pm – 3pm for healing course at St Laurence.

 

ST CATHERINE CHRISTMAS DINNER: Friday, 6^th December, 6.30 for 7pm at the Manston village hall.

4-course meal for £20 per person – vegetarian option available. Places are limited to 40.  Contact Cheryl Belsey on 07398 038366.  Donations of raffle prizes would be very gratefully received.

 

ST LAURENCE CHRISTMAS FAIR: Saturday, 7th December, 12.00 to 4.00 pm: We are looking for anyone who is prepared to help with setting up for the Fair, clearing up afterwards and/or running a stall. We also need bottles of wine for the Wine & Water Stall, as well as items that can be used as raffle or tombola prizes or that can be sold as gifts. If you can help in any way, please speak to Sharon Cutler, Ann Gregson or Kelly Gooding if you are in St. Laurence Church on any Sunday. Alternatively, contact Ann by email ann.tower@outlook.com or on: 01843 597170. We would also be grateful for any cash donations, as this will enable the Fair Committee to buy prizes for the various stalls. Every penny raised from the Fair goes to Church funds, but we rely heavily on the generosity of our congregations in St. Laurence Parish to make the Fair a success. Even if you feel you cannot contribute towards the Fair, please do make a note of the date and time and come along to support this important fund-raising event – you will be very welcome.

ST CATHERINE’S CHRISTMAS CONCERT: Saturday, 14th December, 7pm. THANET COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR.  Refreshments will be served during the interval. There will be a small raffle.  Tickets £7 either in advance or on the door.  Contact Barbara Redman 07720 068030   THANET FOOD BANK: Most wanted items for November are: cereals, jam, tinned meals, packet meals, squash. Please either take to your church for collection or deliver to the depot (ask for directions in church).  Last month nearly 500 food parcels were given out and over 500 people (both adult and child) received support in this way.  Thank you for your continued generosity.
