The 10:00am service at St Laurence Church will also be live streamed by Judith Andrews/Rev Phil Barnes

THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
God, our redeemer, who prepared the Blessed Virgin Mary to be the mother of your Son: grant that, as she looked for his coming as our saviour, so we may be ready to greet him when he comes again as our judge – who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit; one God, now and for ever. Amen
THE COLLECT FOR CHRISTMAS DAY
Almighty God, you have given us your only-begotten Son to take our nature upon him and at this time to be born of a pure virgin: grant that we, who have been born again and made your children by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed by your Holy Spirit. Through Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord – who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
ANNOUNCEMENT from Rev Phil Barnes
It is with deep sadness that we have to share the news of Carole Bean’s sudden death. She was a real driving force in the parish and the deanery of Thanet - indeed, her influence even extended to the diocese. She will be greatly missed. Please pray for her family and friends, many of whom worship in our parish. At this time there is no news of the arrangements for her funeral.

ST MARK’S WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: Belleplates, Home Groups, Northwood Singers, Thursday Fellowship will NOT meet on weeks beg 18th and 25th Dec. Prayer group will not meet on 23rd Dec.
CHRISTMAS FUND-RAISING: Thanks to all of those folk who supported the Christmas Concert by Thanet Gospel Community Choir at St Catherine’s. We raised £210 for parish funds.

CAROLS AFTER CHRISTMAS: St Mark’s Belleplate group (handbells) invites you to an afternoon of Christmas music and tea on Saturday 7th January 2pm-4pm in St Mark’s church hall. Admission is free. Donations to church funds welcome.
QUIZ NIGHT: in aid of the St Lawrence/Laurence Clock Restoration Appeal, Saturday 28th January at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. Tickets £5.00 per person, bring your own drinks and nibbles. Tickets from Freda on 07732864076 or info@stlawrenceclockappeal.org
