18th February

First Sunday of Lent

Should you have a gluten allergy and wish to receive communion please let one of the sides people know at least 10 minutes before the service starts so that a gluten free wafer may be provided (St Laurence).

If you would like to wear a face covering or mask for your own comfort, you are more than welcome to do so.

READINGS FOR TODAY

Genesis 9:8-17, Psalm 25:1-9, 1Peter 3:18-end, Mark 1:9-15

THE COLLECT FOR TODAY

Almighty God, whose son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness and was tempted as we are, yet without sin: give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit.  And as you know our weakness, so may we know your power to save.  Through Jesus Christ, your son, our Lord – who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever.

(Each church warden should have been sent these in an e-mail from Malcolm Story)
