THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
Almighty Father, whose son was revealed in majesty before he suffered death upon the cross, give us grace to perceive his glory – that we may be strengthened to suffer with him and be changed into his likeness from glory to glory; who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit: one God, now and forever. Amen.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: Friday, 3rd March – 10:00 at Hardres Street United Reform Church. Refreshments will be served after the service.
CHURCH SALE: St Nicholas church is holding a “Past and Present” Church Sale on Saturday, 25th February, 10am -1pm. Bric-a-brac, glassware, toys, clothing, jewellery, books and refreshments available.
FUNERAL FOR JANET LENNOX: Many thanks for the prayers, messages, hugs, cards and flowers which have helped me through a difficult time. Mum’s funeral will be taking place on Tuesday 7th March 2023 at 1pm at Margate Crematorium. Instead of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to be shared between St Laurence Church and Smile (www.operativesmile.org.uk) – a charity Mum had supported for years. This will be followed by a Celebration of Mum’s life at Pegwell Bay Hotel, Pegwell Road, Ramsgate. To ensure that everyone can be refreshed with food and drink, it would be helpful if you could let me know if you are hoping to attend the celebration. booker_sue@hotmail.com My family and I really hope that you will attend and share memories of Mum. RIDE AND STRIDE AT ST MARK: SEPTEMBER 2022: The organisers would like to thank all who rode, kept the church open or sponsored riders for this event. The total raised was £550, of which £275 comes to church funds and £275 to Historic Churches Fund.
PRAYER GROUP: This group meets weekly on Fridays at 11.00 in St Mark Lounge.
At St Mark we have a prayer tree where people can write down prayer needs. At our Friday meeting we have open prayer for all of these and others we know in need as well as for all the churches in our parish, our local area, our country and our world.

PARISH OFFICE: We do have a volunteer manning the office on a Thursday morning, and usually a Monday and Friday, someone who has taken on the wedding arrangements and another person acting as secretary for the hall bookings.
