Should you have a gluten allergy and wish to receive communion please let one of the sides people know at least 10 minutes before the service starts so that a gluten free wafer may be provided.

ST MARK’S CHURCH HALL: It has been decided that the Church Hall will remain open while the new kitchen is being fitted at St Mark’s. During this time, between the 31st January and 25th February, the kitchen area will be out of bounds.
THANET FOOD LINK LENT CHALLENGE: 2nd March to 14th April
Are you planning to give up something for Lent? How about taking up our Lent Challenge and giving one item of food to Thanet Food Link per day for the 40 days of Lent? All non-perishable foods are welcome, especially tinned meals, pasta, pasta sauces, packet meals, cereals, tinned desserts and veg, biscuits, tea and coffee and UHT milk. How about trying to think of something different every day?
Each week we give out about 200 bags of food to people who need it in Thanet. We need help to fill these bags. By taking part in our Lent challenge you can help us help those in need.
I AM MARK: On Saturday 5th March, St. Luke’s, Ramsgate are hosting Stefan Smart who is coming to perform Mark’s gospel. This is a powerful and unique way of engaging with the Bible, hearing a gospel performed in one sitting (about 90 minutes – this is a precis, the whole gospel takes 3 hours!).
The event is suitable for Christians, for whom it will be an opportunity to hear the gospel in a unique way and also for non-Christians who can come and hear the gospel as a performance in a very non-threatening way.
Please come, and bring friends and family. Tickets are available for £5 in advance and £7 on the door. SANCTUARY: A service of prayerful reflection and recognition for those who have suffered abuse of any kind: physical, emotional or spiritual. Saturday 5th March 2022, 2pm, Holy Trinity Church, Margate.
ST LAURENCE SPRING FAIR will be taking place on Saturday 26th March 2022, 10.30-13.00. We need help with the following as we start preparations:
- green tablecloths/sheets (If you want these returned, please clearly label with name)
- artificial spring flowers and egg cups (non-returnable).
Please hand to Sue Booker in Church or into the Parish Office.
SAVE THE DATES: St Catherine’s May Music Extravaganza! Every Friday evening in May, from 7pm – 9pm, St Catherine’s will be hosting musicians for an evening of music and fun. Watch this space for more details and artist information as they are announced! The first Music Extravaganza evening will be on Friday 6th May.
