THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
And everlasting God, we beseech you to direct, sanctify and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of your laws and the works of your commandments; that through your most mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preserved in body and soul. Through our Lord and Saviour, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

FUNERAL FOR DAMIEN ATHERTON: 2nd August at 13:00 - Thanksgiving service for the life of Peter and Joan Atherton’s son Damien at St Laurence.
ST LAURENCE SUMMER FAIR: It is very pleasing to report that the fair succeeded in raising £609.
ST LAWRENCE CLOCK APPEAL: Over the next few weeks the St Lawrence Clock Restoration Team will be out and about at various fetes and events, and we would love you to come along and have a go on our games to support the appeal.
Saturday 7th September we will be attending the heritage open day in St Laurence Church. Please remember you can donate direct into our bank account, donate in the jar in church or via our Go Fund Me page.

ST CHRISTOPHER’S: A local interest group have been helping out with getting St Christopher’s back into use. They are busy clearing the grounds. The roof has been repaired and new outer doors installed. The building will be used for this group over the summer and the plan is to hold our next joint service there on the fifth Sunday of September: 10:00, 29th September.
