THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
O Lord, we beseech you mercifully to hear the prayers of your people who call upon you; and grant that they may both perceive and know what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to fulfil them. Through Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord, him who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit - one God, now and forever. Amen.

ACTS (Active Christianity in Schools): in partnership with Thanet Churches, ACTS invite you to join in prayer for the 34,000 children and young people, their schools staff and families on Friday 29th September at St Nicholas in Wade Church, 10:30 – 19:00 with focussed prayer at 10:30, 13:00 and 18:00
COFFEE MORNING/BRING & BUY: Last of this Summer – Saturday, 30th September, 10:30-12:00 at St Catherine’s. Bacon baps will be on offer as well as regular refreshments and probably home-made cake!

ST LAWRENCE CLOCK RESTORATION APPEAL:
Saturday 21st October is Quiz Night in the Parish Hall. Doors open at 6:30pm for a prompt 7:00pm start. Tickets £5.00 per person, tables of 8 available to book. Bring your own drink and nibbles. There will be a raffle for which prizes would be greatly appreciated. Contact Freda on 07732864076 for tickets or to donate a raffle prize.
Friday 3rd November. A concert in St Laurence church by the Coastal Choir. Doors open at 7:00pm for a prompt 7:30pm start. Tickets pre-purchased £8.00 or £10.00 on the night, with all proceeds going to the clock restoration fund.
We will also have a stall at the St Laurence Christmas Fair. More details nearer the time. If you are unable to get along to any of the mentioned events or wish to make a regular monthly donation, remember you can donate direct to the clock restoration fund by bank transfer/online banking or standing order.
