COLLECT and POST COMMUNION PRAYER for TODAY

Collect:  Almighty God, whose Son revealed in signs and miracles the wonder of your saving presence: renew your people with your heavenly grace; and, in all our weakness, sustain us by your mighty power.  Through, Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit – one God, now and for ever.  Amen

Post Communion: Almighty Father, whose Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, is the light of the world: may your people, illumined by your word and sacraments, shine with the radiance of his glory, that he may be known, worshipped and obeyed to the ends of the earth.  For he is alive and reigns, now and for ever.  Amen

St Catherine’s 6 Walks in 2026 : Parish wide and beyond. All for free: good company, fitness and a sprinkling of spirituality for you & your family

Walk 1: Thursday 19 March at 2pm-4pm  Ramble & Chat around Sarre finishing at a local pub

Walk 2: Saturday 18 April at 11am-1.30pm it’s at the end of the Easter Holidays Your Area, Your Community Through Flete, Lydden and Coldswood with many lovely views and even some Alpacas! Returning for a lunch at the Jolly Farmer Pub Manston

Walk 3: Tuesday 19 May at 5pm-7pm Walking and Nature  The walk will be in & around Manston itself and then out to Woodchurch returning to St Catherine’s Church Manston for buffet

Walk 4: Friday 26 June at 2pm-4pm Stroll & Natter around Minster finishing at a local pub

Walk 5: Sunday 19 July at 12noon-2.30pm A Tale of Two Churches Starting and ending at St Laurence-in-Thanet Church Ramsgate we walk to St Catherine’s for a break & buffet lunch…history and architecture all along the way.

Walk 6: Saturday 29 August 11am-4pm   It’s Bank Holiday! Walking As Pilgrimage Starting at St Augustine’s Cross we pilgrimage to Minster Abbey and return (return a choice of whether by foot or transport) for refreshments at St Mary’s Cliffsend  

MONTHLY BIBLE STUDY, DISCUSSION & REFRESHMENTS AT THE RECTORY:  with discussion & refreshments. Next are   6.30pm Tues 17 Feb with pancakes as it’s Shrove Tues.  For those new to faith and also for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of the Bible (currently the book of Acts) and feel part of a supportive group. All are welcome from across the whole Parish.

DEANERY CONFIRMATION: 5pm on Saturday 28 February at St Luke’s. Each church will lead their own Confirmation candidates in sessions - and we will meet as a whole Parish group for last sessions on the Sacraments. There is also the opportunity for Affirmation of Faith - long standing Christians within CofE who feel they are entering a new phase in faith and want that affirmed by the Bishop. We already have 3 candidates for Confirmation and 1 for Affirmation if you are interested please speak to your focal minister this week.

ROCK SOLID 2:  St Laurence continues Sunday School this autumn for children aged 4yrs -11yrs - called Rock Solid 2.  It runs monthly, Sundays 8 Feb, 8 March, 12 April  and onwards. It is fun-packed. Led by Kelly, Marion, Marcia, Andrea and Barrie - these leaders are experienced with children with autism and ADHD. All children and parents are welcome. Arrive 9.50am at the actual church for 10am start, ends 11.30am.  And children are welcome in church every week.

After which Lent starts – at each church there will be ‘Learning Lent sessions’ in the sermon slot on Sundays where the congregation will participate.  St Laurence: Our bodies and worship, St Mark’s: focus on the Lord’s Prayer, St Mary’s: focus on The Creed, St Catherine’s: topic tbc.

'GIVE&GET,THANET’:  Good Neighbours Exchanging Favours: This is an experimental community group sharing skills, time and things. They describe it as “radical neighbouring” where we connect, support and care.  They were at the St Laurence Christmas Fair with our home-made nibbles.
