THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
Almighty God, whose son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness, and was tempted as we are, yet without sin; give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit. And, as you know our weakness, so may we know your power to save – through Jesus Christ, your son, our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit: one God, now and forever. Amen.

FUNERAL FOR JANET LENNOX: Mum’s funeral will be taking place on Tuesday 7th March 2023 at 1pm at Margate Crematorium. Instead of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to be shared between St Laurence Church and Operation Smile [up-dated info] (www.operationsmile.org.uk) – a charity Mum has supported for years. This will be followed by a Celebration of Mum’s life at Pegwell Bay Hotel, Pegwell Road, Ramsgate. To ensure that everyone can be refreshed with food and drink, it would be helpful if you could let me know by 2nd March, if you are hoping to attend the celebration. booker_sue@hotmail.com My family and I really hope that you will attend and share memories of Mum. - Sue Booker
