PARISHWIDE CONFIRMATION & DISCIPLESHIP COURSE 2025: at St. Laurence Church Every regular participant will be supplied with the course book: Faith Confirmed by Jackson & Wright.  Each session is 12 noon -2pm with picnic lunch as a break in the middle. This is not only for Confirmation candidates but for all to refresh and deepen their faith & discipleship as well, and is essentially our Lent Course – It will be led by: Revd Catherine, Revd Ken, Revd Phil, LLM Frances and LLM Judith. Saturday 1 Feb 12noon – 2pm Jesus: Life and Ministry, Jesus: Death and Resurrection. Saturday 8 Feb 12 noon - 2pm The Holy Spirit, The Church, The Creeds Saturday 15 Feb (half term) and Saturday 22 Feb (half term) Saturday 1 March 12 noon - 2pm Prayer & Worship and The Church Calendar Wednesday 5 March (Ash Wednesday) Saturday 8 March 12 noon - 2pm The Bible and Living as a Christian Saturday15 March 12 noon - 2pm The Eucharist and The Sacraments Sunday 16 March afternoon/early evening Deanery Confirmation Service at St Peter’s 14 April – Holy Week begins – Easter Day 20 April   SPIRITUALITY HOUR Spirituality Hour continues monthly at Saint Laurence in the candlelit Chapel – refreshments at 7pm for 7.30pm Wednesday 5th February Wednesday 5th March (as it’s Ash Wednesday it will be with Imposition of Ashes).   ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS: Note the date: Annual Parochial Church Meeting – Sunday 18th May. 4pm Dates of Annual Church Meetings (ACM) to be arranged by the Local Leadership Team (LLT) of each church.  To be a member of the LLT you need to be on the electoral roll and this year everyone who wishes to be on the ER must fill in a new form.   PAST AND PRESENT SALE: 22nd February, 10am – 1pm at St Nicholas Church, St Nicholas-at-Wade. Including bric-a-brac, glassware, toys, clothing, jewellery and books. Tea, coffee and cakes too!   FOOD BANK: Statistics for December, 2024 show that 550 adults and 330 children were provided with food packages at either St Paul’s or St Peter’s. 60% are single adults, 20% are single parents. January’s most wanted items are: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, tinned meals, desserts.
