COLLECT and POST COMMUNION PRAYER for TODAY
Collect: Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and to put on the armour of light now, in the time of this mortal life, in which your Son, Jesus Christ, came to us in great humility; that on the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal. Through him who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit; one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Post Communion: O Lord, our God, make us watchful and keep us faithful as we await the coming of your Son, our Lord, that, when he shall appear, he may not find us sleeping in sin, but active in his service and joyful in his praise. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Keep fit and help out at the same time… with the Happy Mondays Group who are helping to clear & garden at St Christophers Princess Margaret Ave Newington CT12 6LG every Thursday 12noon-3pm from now until Christmas. Just turn up dressed appropriately.
St LAURENCE CHRISTMAS FAYRE: Saturday 6th December - 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm Just come along- we look forward to welcoming you from across the community and parish wide…there will be wonderful refreshments! CHRISTMAS BLUES MEMORIAL SERVICE: Sunday 7 Dec 4pm at St Laurence there will be a community- orientated Christmas Memorial Service in collaboration with our local funeral directors. The names of loved ones, those no longer with us, can be hung on the Christmas Tree. Christmas is perhaps a time when we miss people the most.

ST LAURENCE CLOCK RESTORATION APPEAL: “A Christmas Concert” performed by The Thanet Light Orchestra on Friday 19th December at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7:00pm. in St Laurence Church. Tickets are £10.00 per person which include refreshments during the interval. To book contact Freda.
MONTHLY BIBLE STUDY, DISCUSSION & REFRESHMENTS AT THE RECTORY: Weds evenings 6.30pm at the St Laurence Rectory with discussion & refreshments. Next is 6.30pm Weds 10 Dec and then Weds 21 Jan 2026. This has started well! For those new to faith and also for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of the Bible (currently the book of Acts) and feel part of a supportive group. All are welcome from across the whole Parish.

ROCK SOLID 2: St Laurence continues Sunday School this autumn for children aged 4yrs -11yrs - called Rock Solid 2. It runs monthly, the next being Sunday 14 Dec, Sunday 11 Jan and onwards. It is fun-packed. Led by Kelly, Marion, Marcia, Andrea and Barrie - these leaders are experienced with children with autism and ADHD. All children and parents are welcome. Arrive 9.50am at the actual church for 10am start, ends 11.30am. And children are welcome in church every week.
