COLLECT and POST COMMUNION PRAYER for TODAY

Collect: Almighty Father, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of all: govern the hearts and minds of those in authority and bring the families of the nations, divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin, to be subject to his just and gentle rule - who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Post Communion: God of peace, whose Son Jesus Christ proclaimed the kingdom and restored the broken to wholeness of life: look with compassion on the anguish of the world; and, by your healing power, make whole both people and nations.  Through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  Amen

THANET FOOD BANK: Here is a message from Heather at the Food Bank:

Dear everyone at St Laurence Church Ramsgate,

Thank you for supporting Thanet Food Link with your donations from your Harvest Festival. It was such a lovely surprise to meet two of your congregation this morning at St Pauls and receive the mountain of food you all collected for us. It always amazes me how generous relatively small congregations are when it comes to providing for those in need. We are hugely grateful for your gifts of food.

Our Charity gives food freely to those in need. Last year we were able to give food to over 7300 people including just over 2600 children. This makes such a difference to the lives of the people we support and brings not only the ability to eat but also shows that people care.  Thank you for your ongoing support, which enables us to continue supporting those in need in our local community.

EASY FUNDRAISING: If you shop on line then you could earn % for church funds via https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/st-laurence-in-thanet-parish Partners in this scheme include: ARGOS, TESCO, JOHN LEWIS, EBAY, JUST EAT…

CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL SERVICE:  Sunday 7 Dec 4pm at St Laurence there will be a community- orientated Christmas Memorial Service in collaboration with our local funeral directors at which the names of loved ones, those no longer with us, can be hung on the Christmas Tree. Christmas is perhaps a time when we miss people the most.

For our Christmas programme across the Parish please see the ‘What’s Happening’ additional leaflet.
