Almighty God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you: pour your love into our hearts and draw us to yourself, and so bring us at last to your heavenly city where we shall see you face to face; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

NOTICES AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS
ANNA CHAPLAINCY TRAINING: A free training course for church volunteers working with older people. The course will be at St. Christophers 10:00-12:00 on Thursdays 13th and 20th October and 10th November. Topics will be Ageing Well, Living Well with Dementia and reviewing and developing my role with older people. For more information or to book a place contact Judith Andrews on judith.andrews68@btinternet.com. Leaflets will be available in churches.
TALE OF TWO MURDERS TALK: An informative and illustrated talk telling the story of Katheryn Sprackling and Sarah Noel will be given by Margaret Bolton on Saturday 15th October 3pm in St. Laurence Church. Katheryn was murdered by her husband on 12th December 1652 in Ellington House Ramsgate. Sarah was murdered in a Ramsgate butchers shop in 1893. Both women were buried in the churchyard of St Laurence Church. Tickets are still available for this event and cost just £5 including refreshments and are available from the Parish Office.
CLOCK RESTORATION APPEAL: The St Lawrence clock and its four clock faces, paid for by public subscription, was installed in the tower of St Laurence church in 1897. The ravages of time have taken their toll and the clock faces are now in a bad state of repair, with some of them being totally unreadable. The St Lawrence Clock Restoration Appeal is aiming to raise £90,000 in order to restore the clock faces and workings to their former glory. We are being assisted in our task by the Ramsgate (Heritage Regeneration) Trust, who are behind the Ramsgate Tunnels and we are able to take donations by bank transfer/on line payment using sort code 30-98-90, account number 18498668, account name Ramsgate (Heritage Regeneration) Trust using reference St Lawrence Clock. If we receive 3,600 donations of £25.00 we would hit our target really quickly. I know times are tough for all of us so please give what you can to restore our wonderful clock. Thank you. Freda Parker
BREAK THE CYCLE PROJECT: The Break the Cycle Project in St. Christopher House, Newington is looking for volunteers to help do a bit of decorating. If you would like to help, please contact Rev Andrew or the Parish Office.

OCTOBER’S MOST WANTED FOOD BANK ITEMS: This months most wanted food items are tinned fruit, pasta, desserts, tinned vegetables, tinned potatoes, biscuits. Thank you for your generosity and continued support; it really is appreciated and still so needed.
THE NEXT CTiR PRAYER BREAKFAST will be held on Saturday 5th November at 9:00am. For more information please contact Carl Whitewood (carl.whitewood@salvationarmy.org.uk)
