Should you have a gluten allergy and wish to receive communion please let one of the sides people know at least 10 minutes before the service starts so that a gluten free wafer may be provided.
The 10:00am service at St Laurence Church will also be live streamed by Judith Andrews.

THE COLLECT FOR TODAY
O God, the strength of all those who put their trust in you, mercifully accept our prayers and, because through the weakness of our mortal nature we can do no good thing without you, grant us the help of your grace, that in the keeping of your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
When your burden is heaviest, you can always lighten a little some other burden. At the times when you cannot see God, there is still open to you this sacred possibility, to show God; for it is the love and kindness of human hearts through which the divine reality comes home to men, whether they name it or not. Let this thought, then, stay with you: there may be times when you cannot find help, but there is no time when you cannot give help.

ACORN CLUB: There will be no Acorn Club on Thursday 23rd June.
MEDIEVAL CHURCH TALK: How did they build the church years ago? Who worked on it? Why did they build it here? If you would like to know the answers to these and much more please join us for an illustrated talk by Margaret Bolton on Saturday 25th June 3pm in St. Laurence Church. Tickets are available from the Parish Office and cost £5 each including refreshments.

BELLEPLATES & AFTERNOON TEA: St. Mark Belleplate Group invite you to an afternoon of music and tea on 9th July 2pm-4pm in St. Mark Church Hall. Admission is free. Donations to church funds welcome.
THANK YOU: Thank you to all the volunteers who helped at the Parish Hall on Wednesday morning. The weather was kind to us and we were blessed with dry weather in between the rain to enable us to clear the front garden in preparation for the painting.
SAVE THE DATE: St Laurence Fair – Saturday 13th August, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the grounds of St Laurence Junior Academy, on Newington Road, opposite the Fire Station.
PRAYER SPACE AT ST LAURENCE: The Theme is ‘Fill this Space with Prayer’. Everyone who attends/visits St Laurence Church is invited to take a moment to stop and find time to add a prayer to Thank God for all he does for us and to also to take the time to add a prayer for those who need His support and how we can help provide the support needed. If you are unable to physically attend church, contact Sue Booker via the office and she will write it up for you and add to the Prayer Tree.
The Prayer for Pebbles on Pentecost Sunday was ‘Fill my life, Holy Spirit of God, with joy and love and hope. Live in me so I can show others how much you love them. Amen’ and the inspiration for the new Theme.
JUNE’S MOST WANTED FOOD BANK ITEMS: This months most wanted food items are tinned fish, tinned soup, pasta, pasta sauce, tinned vegetables, desserts. Thank you for your generosity and continued support; it really is appreciated and still so needed.
